In our next release for Log Your Time, we will be adding various features and enhancements to extend its functionality. Some of the major highlights of Log Your Time version 2 include:
   
 
Sales Lead Management
The sales lead management module will automate the process of lead and opportunity management resulting in increased sales productivity. It will provide a single and centralized framework to store and track all sales activity related data. The sales lead tracking module will make it easier for organizations to track and record deal progress and milestones, from lead capture to closure.

The module includes options to:
  • Enter details of sales leads and opportunities
  • Set status & milestones for the lead. Leads can be open or closed. Once a lead has been closed can be assigned to a selected employee, who is then responsible for maintaining and managing all the client related data
  • Import sales lead data from external sources such as Excel sheets into Log Your Time
  • Store and manage email and other sales lead related communications and interactions
  • View and track lead & opportunity progress milestones
  • View audit trail for each lead – from lead generation to closure
  • Set Reminders to ensure that the sales lead information is always up to date
  • Generate Sales Opportunities Reports to analyze sales pipelines and performance
  • Search and browse through history of sales data
Payment Gateway Integration
A payment gateway can be integrated with Log Your Time to enable clients to make online payments for services rendered. Integration of an online payment module will enable the relevant invoices to be automatically updated with the payment details. Advantages of payment gateway integration include:
  • Does away with errors and inconsistencies that may arise during manual updation of invoices
  • Automatically updates the relevant invoices with payment details
  • Supplements the manual process of raising invoices
  • On time receipt of payments from clients
Project Management
The project management module will provide project managers with tools to plan organize and manage projects, allocate and control resources, costs and schedules of projects. The tools include integrated calendars, report generators, schedulers, charts etc.

Features of the project management module include:
  • Multiple Project Management: Allows creation of unlimited number of projects. Create and enter details for each projects such as name, description, start date, end date etc.
  • Project Estimates: Define tasks and activities within the project. Make estimates about time for each activity and the resources required.
  • Resource Management: Assign employees to the project and define roles, for them, within the project.
  • Reminders: Reminders can be set to ensure that various project related tasks are performed on time.
  • Calendar: The calendar can be used to set and view daily/monthly schedules. Managers can view schedules of all employees assigned to the project.
  • Document Repository: Files related to a project such as source codes, documents etc can be uploaded and attached with the relevant project all employees assigned to the project.
  • Project History: View details of all projects that are currently running as well as those that have been completed.
  • Reports: Generate extensive reports that can be used for statistical and analytical purposes.
Client Extranet
The client extranet module will enable the creation of a private network wherein authorized clients can access specific modules/areas, relevant to them, within Log Your Time such as project and time sheet modules. The extranet will enable clients, business partners etc to view project information at times convenient to them. It will reduce time and effort spent on organizing meetings and manually sending across project reports. A client extranet integrated with Log Your Time will enable organizations to improve relations with key clients and partners

Features of the client extranet module include:

  • Access to specific projects within the project module.
  • Extensive security features that include firewalls, encryption of messages and the use of virtual private networks (VPN) to ensure security over the public network.
  • Clients can logon and raise issues and report bugs related to their projects.
  • View project related timesheets.
  • Make online payments for services rendered to them.
 
Bug/Issue Tracking
The bug tracking module will enable employees and clients to record, organize and track information about error reports, software defects and any other project related issues.

The tracking module includes options to:
  • Enter and track the status of bugs and errors reported
  • Raise project related issues and other suggestions
  • Record bug/issue resolution details
  • Generate bug/issue tracking reports
